About Polytechnic and major

 

At the inception of this polytechnic, teaching staff were trained at the Bandung Polytechnic Education Development Center. Meanwhile, in Manado, facilities and infrastructure were built which were intended for learning media as the forerunner of the Sam Ratulangi University Polytechnic (Unsrat).

The teaching and learning process begins in the majors: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Commerce. In 1991, added with Accounting. The permit to operate the Diploma 3 program for the Department of Accounting and Business Administration was obtained in 1993. In 1998, the status of the Department of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering was upgraded to the Diploma 3 level. This year the D3 program for the Department of Tourism was opened.

In 1999 Unsrat Manado Polytechnic separated itself from Sam Ratulangi University with the new name Manado State Polytechnic. Specifically for the Civil Engineering Department, Diploma 4 was opened, which produced its first graduates in 2003.

Manado State Polytechnic is geographically located in the northern part of the Eastern Region of Indonesia which is directly adjacent to countries in the Pacific region. This geographical location has strategic meaning in the future for the existence of the Manado State Polytechnic as a vocational education institution that produces Human Resources according to competency standards in an era of global competition.

Currently, the Manado State Polytechnic has 18 study programs consisting of 11 Diploma 3 programs, namely Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Accounting, Tax Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing Management, Hospitality, Tourism and Tourism Business. While the Bachelor of Applied Science Study Programs total 7 Study Programs namely: Building Construction, Residential Housing, Informatics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Financial Accounting, Business Management and Hospitality Management which are carried out regularly.
